Why does everyone suddenly like dead mau5 and think they can be dj's?

Seems ridiculous the amount of people who think they can dj and create
electronic music because of the sudden explosion in popularity of
artists like deadmau5, skrillex etc. Granted it's a positive spread of
creativity, but some of the stuff they come out with is just awful.
