What is this song? I can't remember it.?

I can only remember part of the lyrics, a woman sing's it, I believe
it's from the 90's. And I thought it was Sheryl Crow, but nothing I've
looked at sounded anything like it.
They are lyrics just before the chorus line in the song.
From what i remember the voice sounded like it either used
synthesizers or a harmony line with like how it sounds with more than
one person singing the same line at the same time.

That's as much as I know that I can make out, I believe there's way
more before it, I'll see if adding what I think goes before it can be
helpful any.

Trust me, it's something along those lines, if I could remember what
came after it I wouldn't be here asking for some help. And it
definitely isn't any of the new crap these days from the 2004 and
above music. It's an early 80's/90's song. I also thought it might've
been Amy Grant as well, but couldn't find anything. All I keep getting
on YouTube no matter how I type it in all I get are the crappy rap and
hip-hop music that people call music these days.

Does anyone remember any more of this song with what I was able to
include?
