When Kevin (Ezra Miller) commits a deplorable crime, we watch his mother unfurl and become the quivering shell we see at trailer’s end. Tilda’s signature eyebrowlessness really helps eradicate the joy from her face! This is not only an eerie trailer, but a great one. Who wouldn’t want to find out what’s up with Kevin’s demonic glare, ruthlessness, and penchant for white t-shirts? It’s a harrowing glimpse into a scary soul, but I think it’s no doubt one that Tilda Swinton is capable of conveying well. John C. Reilly as her husband is a strange choice, but you have to remember he once costarred in The Hours and Gangs of New York.
